Baby feeding shopping list
Feeding your baby is an important part of caring for your baby, therefore it’s important that you ensure you have everything ready for feeding your baby. Depending on how you will be feeding your baby you will need to buy different items. For this reason, you will find several lists below. One for breastfeeding, another for feeding with formula and a third for feeding your baby solid foods.
Breastfeeding Shopping List
- 3 nursing bras
- Nursing pillow
- Breastpump
- Breast pads
- Nipple cream (one with a lanolin base is best)
- Loose shirts or button-down shirts for you (these kinds of shirts make breastfeeding easier)
- 6 cotton bibs
- 6 burp cloths
Formula Feeding
- 8 bottles with newborn nipples (most mums recommend you have two different sizes in stock)
- Bottle cleaning brush or a dishwasher basket
- Bottle drying rack

- 6 cotton bibs
- 6 burp cloths
- Insulated cooler/carrier for outings
- Dry formula dispenser
- Bottle steriliser
Solid Food Feeding
If you want, you can put off buying the following feeding items until your baby’s fourth month or you can can just store them until you begin feeding your baby solid foods.
- High chair
- 2-3 plastic bibs
- Infant feeding cutlery and crockery
- A mess mat for under the high chair (though you can make do without one)
